Advanced Lighting Education is offered locally at the section level throughout the year. The IES RMS section will typically offer ALE events in the Spring and Fall based on current trends in the industry, and requests directly from the community. Keep an eye on our events page for more fun events in the meantime!
FUNDAMENTALS OF LIGHTING
The fundamentals of lighting course (FOL) is offered each spring and serves as an introduction to lighting. The Course is intended for professionals who are new to the industry and want to learn about the basics of lighting. It will cover 10 different learning modules that vary from basic types of light to design applications. FOL is open to the general public, but IES members receive a discounted rate. The course qualifies for 18 CEU's. Registration for this course is now open at the link above!
EDUCATIONAL WEBINAR SERIES
The IES presents monthly live webinars on a variety of lighting-related subjects. The speakers are experts in their fields and the webinars are a great way to expand your knowledge while earning IES continuing education credits (CEUs).
