QUOTATIONS COORDINATOR POSITION AVAILABLE AT VISUAL INTEREST

The Quotations Coordinator is responsible for engaging in strategic planning & project coordination with our Quotes team. Responsibilities include generating, tracking, and communicating Quotation activities to our Quotes team. Assist with set up, organization, and scheduling. Complete and submit accurate and thorough technical quotations against tight deadlines required by the customer for smaller scale projects. This includes conducting extensive research and analysis of multiple product lines in order to generate quotations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Use Oasis to set up projects

  • Schedule job meetings

  • Quote Small Projects

  • Coordinate with the Quotes Team

KEY SKILLS

QUOTES POSITION AVAILABLE AT VISUAL INTEREST

Members of the Quotes team is responsible generating a complete Quote, cross referencing schedules, specs, plans, and other job specific details. This includes conducting extensive research and analysis of multiple product lines in order to generate quotations. Compile and analyze pricing from various manufacturers. Coordinate and strategize with sales team in order to submit bids in a timely & efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday

  • Coordinate with sales team

  • Request pricing from the manufacturers

  • Generate complete BOM based on fixture schedule, specs, etc – using Oasis

  • Generate Alternate & VE Bids with sales team

  • Meet deadlines/bid dates

  • Problem Solving with Order management, Customer Service teams

CONTROLS DESIGNER POSITION AVAILABLE AT VISUAL INTEREST

The Controls Designer position is responsible for assist with controls designs and takeoffs. Compile controls budgets, designs and presentation materials for proposals. Generate submittal documents and assist with shop drawing coordination and delivery. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, and assist in improving Visual Interest’s presence in the local lighting control market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communicate with customers in person and on the phone

  • Respond quickly to all emails and calls

  • Manage and meet deadlines and incoming requests

  • Provide lighting control system layouts, one-lines and cutsheet packages

  • Generate budget pricing for lighting control systems.

  • Attend educational classes, meetings and events - Not always during working hours

  • Assist with design build projects

  • Respond to incoming phone calls and email sale inquiries for controls department

AVAILABLE POSITION

This career opportunity is for a full time, Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Boulder, CO.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage electrical project teams and attend project meetings

  • Perform NEC demand/load calculations, short circuit calculations, lighting calculations (AGI software knowledge desired), and voltage drop calculations

  • Generate one-line diagrams and electrical details

  • Perform complete power design for building electrical systems, including code research, equipment power connections, panel board circuit layout and loading, and controls.

  • Write and edit project construction specifications

  • Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, perform site observations, and punch lists

  • Coordinate on site with electrical contractor

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor of Science in Architectural or Electrical Engineering or other related engineering degree

  • Minimum of 7-years experience engineering electrical systems for buildings

  • Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously

  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licence preferred

  • Creative thinking and problem solving

  • Good communication skills - written and verbal

  • Strong background in AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Willing and able to self-learn new software
